I had the most lovely day at Glanmedeni at the woodwork workshop for women. Jess is the best teacher and as I was a trial veginner I was very gappy to come away with a very nice tray made from scratch! It was a very relaxing environment, and an absolutely beautiful setting. A day to remember!

What a beautiful cottage and the perfect place to celebrate my birthday and the all clear from cancer. So comfortably and tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly need inside. Dog friendly with some special treats for the pooch too. It’s fair to say that the cottage was as warm as the welcome from Jess. A very relaxing and cosy break. Highly recommended

Faultless stay at a wonderful dog friendly cottage. It is the perfect getaway for a peaceful and relaxing break. Stunning wildlife around the cottage and wonderful beaches a short distance away.

Truth be told, this was a very last minute break and I only really honed in on the words “dog friendly” and “enclosed garden”. I didn’t realize what an absolute gem of a place we had booked until we got there! Everything was well thought out and catered for and the accommodation was beautiful. We had a lovely warm welcome from Jess and were made to feel relaxed and comfortable there instantly. A hamper for humans and treats for the four leggeds was also a nice surprise. The area itself is spectacular with gorgeous beaches close by and plenty of dog friendly eateries. Will definitely look to book here again - the place is magical. Our pups enjoyed their first little holiday very much. Thanks for having us :-)

What a beautiful place! Everything has been done to make The Forge welcoming and comfortable, for both humans and dogs. The ‘welcome’ hamper, including delicious fresh bread was greatly appreciated by us, and the treats and toy by our cockapoo! Jess is an exemplary host.

My husband and I took ourselves away for an unexpected short break to celebrate our anniversary. It was a last minute booking and we were very lucky to find this secluded, peaceful retreat. Jess was wonderfully helpful when sorting the booking and provided a genuine welcome. The Forge is furnished and decorated to a high standard with everything you'd need. The location was idyllic, only sounds of birds, sheep and trees. We loved the welcome hamper which included freshly baked bread, fresh eggs and a host of Welsh products. The hosts commitment to sustainable practices is highly evident and very appreciated. We took the opportunity to complete the 'tree dedication' card 🌳. Thank you for thinking of everything!

Would definitely recommend. A beautiful lodge with lots of nice touches such as fresh bread and hamper on your arrival. It’s very private and a great place to switch off. It was the perfect place to get away with the dogs and there are lots of dog friendly things to do nearby.

We have the most wonderful time at The Forge, beautiful location, and fantastic accommodation of the highest quality...We everything you need to make your stay perfect and Jess our hostess was just a star and responsible for creating the interiors... and I loved the wood tub experience... Me and my partner had a wonderful time at Glanmedeni. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful few days away with our two dogs and found this beautiful forge. It was in the perfect location, only 10 minutes from the beach and a short drive to Tycanol Nature Reserve. On our arrival we were warmly welcomed by Jess, with a loaf of fresh warm bread. The forge had everything you needed for breakfast; fresh eggs, milk, butter, tea and coffee etc, as well as all the utensils for cooking. The dogs even got their own toys and treats to keep. The enclosed garden and field was perfect to let the dogs run around, without worrying they would get too adventurous. You can tell Jess puts her heart and soul into this place and we can't recommend Glanmedeni enough. We are definitely booking again in the near future. It was just what we needed over the easter break.

The Forge is the perfect place to unwind. The building has been renovated to the highest standard with quality fixtures, fittings evident everywhere. Our host Jess was very generous with her welcome baskets of goodies. It was so quiet and a perfectly dark sky to enjoy the stars. A great location to explore the nearby coastal path with other walks just outside the door. We will definitely return.
